Part Four
So please come and check it out and join if you are interested! :)
A song about him, his energy, his enthusiasm. Or maybe a song about your feelings towards him - how you like/love him, or your appreciation of his talent/looks(!) etc.
Just asking 'cause I'd love to make a tribute video and would love your song suggestions. I was thinking something poppy and bouncy :) (since I always think of David with a smile on his face - I love his smile, it makes me smile too).
Not quite as dialup-unfriendly as the others, but still.
Anyway, I decided after the finale to re-watch David's run on Doctor Who. You know, therapy. *g* I then had the great idea of posting my thoughts on each series as I watch them. I finished series 2 yesterday. If you think you can handle a little nostalgia for the good old days, go have a look. Enjoy!
Series 2 post can be found here: michellemtsu.livejournal.com/38489.html#c
In DC, we have DirectTV on campus, which allows me to catch BBCAmerica but not USA, for some odd reason. Here at home we have Cox Cable, which allows me to catch USA but not BBCAmerica. Ironically enough, I leave DC prior to Doctor Who "The End of Time" being played on BBCAmerica to come here where I can't catch the channel. In the same vein, I'm leaving home prior to White Collar and Burn Notice coming on USA to return to DC where the channel doesn't work.
I don't find this funny in the least. -_-
However, I did watch the second half of The End of Time online New Year's Day, and it was as I expected. It was an amazing episode ( spoiler ) but also a sad one. I didn't want him to go! None of us did, I'm sure. But it was epic and completely unexpected, as to who knocked. (I was not expecting that! But when it happened my face just fell. Like, damn.) And it allowed David to go through so many emotions throughout the one hour of the show.
( spoiler )
But I enjoyed it and shed a few tears on The Doctor's behalf. Yet from that little teaser we got of Matt Smith, I think I'm going to like him. He won't be my Doctor, no, but I think he's going to be pretty good.
Guess I'll watch some David Tennant "Hamlet" to get my mind off things. :)
okayIt was only this past summer that I discovered the epic awesomeness that is David Tennant. A bit late to the party, but at least I made it. I started off with Doctor Who. Now, over the past month or so, I have been devouring all the DT works I can get my hands on, culminating in a massive Tennant-Fest this last week of new and earlier productions. It’s been an absolute blast, and with each piece I view, I find myself ever more in awe of DT and his boundless talent.
As I’ve been seeing works for the first time, I’ve been writing reviews/reactions to them in my journal. I thought I’d share them with all of you. The posts are varying blends of (attempted) thinky thought analysis and fangirl squee, depending on the subject (and my mood at the time). I would really love to get your feedback and hear your takes on these shows/films. While I’ve been doing my best to convert friends and family, most where I live have never heard of David Tennant and have no idea what the hell I’m on about. So, it would be such a treat and very much appreciated to discuss these with all of you!
Warnings: POSTS CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THE SPECIAL/SERIES/FILM DISCUSSED! Some of the reviews are quite lengthy. Also, I occasionally swear.
At some point I’ll probably write reviews of the Who episodes/specials and other things I’d already seen before I started doing this, and I haven’t gotten ahold of all DT’s other works yet (still trying and would appreciate aid), but here’s what I’ve assembled reviews of thus far :
New DT Works
Older DT Works
Blackpool, Einstein & Eddington, Recovery, and Bright Young Things (same post divided into sections)
Which David Tennant work is your personal favorite and why?

Being a vampire was the handiest trick Robin could ever have imagined.
